Telltale Games Announces Special Deals for The Walking Dead

Telltale Games’ critically-acclaimed point-and-click masterpiece, The Walking Dead, is finally supporting some gamer-friendly deals just in time for Halloween. With Telltale Games’ inevitable release of The Walking Dead: Season Two rumored to be appearing sometime this fall, and the developer’s latest comic book-based episodic adventure, The Wolf Among Us, nearing its release date as well, this is the perfect time for penny-pinching fans to purchase one of 2012’s best games of the year at a discounted price.

To kick off the deals, Telltale Games has revealed that The Walking Dead: Episode One – A New Day is now free worldwide on Xbox Live Arcade with a similar option available on the PlayStation Network, but with one major difference: its only accessible to North American users. Regardless of this setback for non-North-American-based PlayStation 3 owners, anyone who hasn’t yet experienced the heart-tugging character relationships, gripping moral sequences, and game-changing dialogue branches The Walking Dead consistently exhibits (and has the means to do so) owes it to themselves to give the series a well-deserved try.

On top of that, PlayStation 3 owners – based in North America – will also receive an added opportunity to dive into all five engrossing episodes of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead thanks to a Season Pass discount, which has dropped to just $14.99.

Though not necessarily cash-saving news, Telltale Games has also asked that gamers anxiously anticipating the release dates for both The Walking Dead: Season Two and The Wolf Among Us to keep their eyes peeled for possible updates sometime in the near future. Could we possibly see the first episode of the Fables-based game, The Wolf Among Us, this October or will The Walking Dead be the first to shamble to the frontlines? Make sure you stay tuned for further coverage in the upcoming weeks, and we’ll deliver all the latest news you crave surrounding both The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us.

This one is just simply excellent episodic game that nobody should miss. Never before I’ve felt so “heavy” after playing each episode. Heavy, tired yet happy 🙂
