I thought this new Zelda really captured what I felt was the essence of a Zelda game...I would have liked to just be able to press B to swing my sword though. This idea of attacking enemies from varies angles is interesting...but could have been just as easily accomplisedh by simply holding a direction while pushing Attack.

That's completely fair. I knew this would be going against the grain of the majority of thought on this particular game, and that's fine as everyone has their own opinion.

I'm a big fan of the Zelda series, but just not this game. It's not the worst Zelda game by far. I think we all know the CD-i games take that prize by a large margin.

I just really wasn't a fan of the story, and of course, the controls. I'm not going to disrespect your opinion, but I don't really see how this game is innovative at all.

The story is copy and past Zelda story, which isn't necessarily bad, but felt underdeveloped. The flying section is just the boat sections from Windwaker on a much large scale and controlled with motion. And the controls are just the standard wii motion controls. I could have dealt with them here and there, but all around (and no option otherwise) it's just not as fun for me.

Worst game ever? Not even close. Masterpiece? Nah. Decent game with some flaws? Yes.

Will that be overshadowed and disparaging by most players? Totally. It's a game we all grew up with, and it's been here for 25 years. I get that, but I'm not going to let it slide. I truly enjoyed past games in the series--my favorite being old school A Link to the Past closely followed by Windwaker--but this one just didn't live up to it for me.

Not counting handhelds; though, I do agree it would be in the top 5 of Zelda games. Maybe even number 4. Still; though, I stand by the review.

The controls can be frustrating? Rubbish! 99.9% of the time the controls work better/more accurately than you sometimes feel they have a right, the 0.1% of the time they do go slightly off it take 2 seconds to correct the "problem". As for the game itself, I would say it ranks somewhere in the top 5 of Zelda's on a major console (non-handheld), as a stand alone game it is nothing short of a masterpiece, Nintendo again innovating whilst at the same time showing other developers just how lazy/unimaginative they can be.

I deserve a code because I am an active member of the core GA community; for instance I was in that 6v6 Hi-Rez sponsored tournament, and a 3 day booster would be enough boosted time for my Lv 50's to get me one of the AP point items from the current Back Catalog sale! X^D Pick Me! Pick Me!

Why do i deserve a booster? idk. i think i could make good use of it. I would totally appreciate it too. Every time i play, i'll have a special place in my heart for you. You'll be with me all the way to victory.

The only time an achievement in my opinion works is if you did something brag-worthy and need proof to show off. in other words, an actual achievement

Achievements are irritating distractions when they worm their way into a story driven, single-player game. Otherwise, I've no real problem.

I have played the entire Tribes series, but I never skied in the previous titles, but then again I never rose above the rank of "uber-noob"

You are correct sir!

"This new ability is so organically implemented and crucial for successful play that I can’t imagine how the previous titles ever operated without it"

Nice preview and a good read, however, you should do a little research if you're not familiar with the series. Skiing existed in every tribes game. It started as a bug in the first, and was slowly incorporated into the gameplay over the next few releases.

What's clear to you isn't necessarily the truth. I do understand the appeal of earning achievements. But I'm not falling for it.

I know the competitive spirit is a part of playing games but since when is "I did the same thing for 3 hours and got a little popup!" something to brag about?
