Techland has finally released an action-packed gameplay trailer for its first-person action, survival horror game, Dying Light. The almost 12 minute-long footage highlights Dying Light‘s dynamic day and night cycles – with the undead becoming more aggressive and dangerous as the sunsets, while also delivering a more insightful look at the game’s Mirror’s Edge-esque free-running movement as you desperately traverse the overrun, urban wasteland in an attempt to capture potentially life-saving supply drop-points. While the fight-or-flight mechanic definitely serves as the underlying structure behind Dying Light, Techland’s gameplay trailer also showcases its Dead Island-inspired melee combat and hints at the potential to craft your own unique, limb-separating weaponry as well. Expect to hear more about Dying Light’s unique premise as its 2014 release date anxiously approaches.
Dying Light will be releasing next year on multiple platforms including PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
