I must say I didn’ t expect this day to be so BIG in the video game world, but lucky me I was wrong. That is because Nintendo made a whole series of announcements releated to its new Wii U console including these babies…
- The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD
- Mario Kart game
- Mario 3D game
- Yoshi game
- Monilith Soft game
- Miiverse goes mobile
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD Remake – The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD is namely a remake of GameCube’s Wind Waker with improvement on both: gameplay and graphics. The game is expected “this fall”.
Mario Kart & Mario 3D – The team behind Mario Galaxy games and 3D Mario is currently working on a new installment for the new Wii U. Mario Kart is in development too and both will be playable on this year’s E3.
A New Monolith Soft Game – If you know Xenoblade Chronicles and liked the game, this might get you pumped up. Nintendo has showcased a new Monolith Soft game which looks simply amazing according to the trailer. The game has no official name yet, but there is X displayed at the end of the trailer.. one could speculate what that means.
Yoshi Wii U game from Kirby’s Epic Yearn team – One look at the new Yoshi game tells us that the same team that brought us the excellent Kirby’s Epic Yearn, is behind the game. This unnamed Yoshi title will at least feature the same kind of artwork. That we can be sure of.
Miiverse available for smartphones this spring – The surprisingly addictive Miiverse, Nintendo’s Wii U based network will be available for smartphones as browser-based experience this spring. At least I’m interested in enough to give it a spin. Miiverse app will follow in the future.
I’m not sure about you, but I finally start to feel that Nintendo is ready for some serious competition with the other platforms. Any plans getting the new Wii U?
