This month we’re going to see some of the most anticipated titles of 2012. With big hits such as Diablo 3 and Max Payne 3, May is going to provide hours of fun for gamers.
Awesomenauts
Release Date: May 2nd | Platform: PS3, Xbox 360
Our thoughts | MkaY: The setting is simple: two robot armies are at war and it’s up to the Awesomenauts to tip the scales in one sides favor. Awesomenauts is a 2D Multiplayer Online Battle Arena game for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. So far what we’ve seen, Awesomenauts looks gorgeous and just might be fun to spend few hours online. Expect a review soon at our site.
Starhawk
Release Date: May 8th | Platform: PS3
Our thoughts | MkaY: Spiritual successor of Warhawk returns. From the creators of Warhawk comes a bold new 3rd Person shooter adventure where you can change the battlefield instantly in the heat of combat. What we’ve seen, Starhawk has lot of potential to make things right and may provide a fresh take on the third-person shooter genre.
Diablo 3
Release Date: May 15th | Platform: PC, Mac
Our thoughts | Stretch: Flawlessly utilizing Role Playing and Dungeon Crawling elements, Diablo I and II are absolute classics. It’s very unlikely that Diablo III will disappoint, and even if it does, the industry still needs some more Dungeon Crawlers. The Auction House concept shows that Blizzard trust their fans to become greatly invested in this third installment.
Max Payne 3
Release Date: May 18th | Platform: PC, PS3, Xbox 360
Our thoughts | GideonKain: The progenitor of the “bullet time” mechanic in video games, Max Payne returns. He looks to be as tormented as ever, popping pain killers and taking on thugs in South America. Lets hope that the extra development time invested into retooling this IP results in a gem like Red Dead Redemption and not something lackluster like LA Noire.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
Release Date: April 12th | Platform: PC
Our thoughts | Conner42: After the great games that was from the two Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter games, Ubisoft is finally coming out with another installment and it looks like they are taking huge steps forward. If seeing how great the previous Ghost Recon games is anything to show for how good this game is going to be, we can expect something pretty awesome with this game!
