The question of whether there will be a Half-Life 3 isn’t really if but when.
Now, it appears something may be brewing over at Valve Software.
Yesterday, the Twitter account @Doug_Rattman, used in the ARG leading up to the release of Portal 2 and had since remained dormant began pumping out a series of mysterious tweets.
The first ominous tweet in almost 4 months is as follows:

You may have noticed the Greek letter, beta. This is the most compelling evidence as the logo for the storied Half-Life series is the Greek letter, Lambda.
Coupled with the fact that some guy was spotted wearing a Half-Life 3 shirt a few weeks ago and that, really, there’s nothing left for Valve to do EXCEPT announce a sequel, this is compelling evidence that Half-Life 3 does exist in some form out there.
At this point in time, this is all conjecture and rumor.
But we will make sure this article is [redacted] as new information surfaces.
